Performance im öffentlichen Raum
unter dem Titel „Brücken bilden“ wurde 2017 das Skulpturentreffen in Allesbach realisiert, das eine Reaktion auf die Flüchtlingswelle seit 2015 war.
Mein Ansatz bestand darin, das Thema zu parodieren, in dem ich eine typisch deutsche Einladung an Bedingungen verknüpft habe: Freibier für alle! Aber: nur wenn Du dich brückst.
Die Tatsache, dass das Brückenbilden einen persönlicher Einsatz voraussetzt und kein Selbstläufer sondern im Gegnteil meist an Bedingungen geknüpft ist hat mich dazu bewogen Menschen dazu einzuladen, selbst die Brücke zu sein. Sich ein Stück weit zu verbiegen, eine Last zu tragen oder sich die Hand zu reichen. Der Diskurs und der Körperliche Einsatz wurde mit einem Bierchen und natürlich mit einem Orden belohnt.

The fact that building bridges requires personal commitment and is not a sure-fire success but, on the contrary, is usually linked to conditions led me to invite people to be the bridge themselves. To bend a little, to carry a burden or to reach out a hand. The discourse and the physical effort were rewarded with a beer and, of course, a medal.
